PageMe Version 1.1
Introduction
This program is a replacement for the originally circulated Page.zip
that was written as a batch file by me a couple of months ago. This
program executes quicker and can be setup as a idle screen program
from the Wildcat!(tm) idle screen, or from a front end programs work
screen, I use mine with FrontDoor(tm).
System Requirements
This program was designed to work on a Wildcat! Bulletin Board System
ran under MS/DOS(tm) 3.3 or above. It requires about 35k of free
memory to run(if you haven't got 35k of free memory you've got bigger
problems than this). It could work with other BBS programs, I just
haven't put it to the test.
Installing as a Upgrade
If you are currently running the pageme batch file version and wish
to switch over to this version do the following.
1. Change to the Pageme directory in the WC30 home directory
and delete all the files.
2. Unzip the pageme.zip file into the pageme directory.
3. Follow the instructions listed below for making the necessary
changes in Makewild to run the program from the idle screen.
Installation as a New Program
This program and its accompanying .BBS files must reside in a sub
directory of your Wildcat home directory, most likely C:\WC30. You
can run the PGINSTAL.BAT file which will create the necessary
directories and place the files, or you can make your own by following
these steps -
1. Change to the Wildcat directory (C:\cd wc30 <enter>)
2. Make a Subdirectory entitled "pageme" (C:\WC30\md pageme <enter>)
3. Unzip the PAGEME.ZIP file into the pageme sub directory.
4. Follow the instructions listed below for making the necessary
changes in Makewild to run the program from the idle screen.
USING PGINSTAL.BAT*****
This batch file will make the necessary directories when run in the
WC30 home directory. Copy PGINSTAL.BAT and PAGEME.ZIP over to the
WC30 home directory. Run the pginstal.bat and it will make the
directories, unzip the files, and delete the work files. Once every
thing is up and running, delete the PGINSTAL.BAT file.
CHANGE SETTINGS IN MAKEWILD
Now change back to the WC30 home directory and run makewild. From the
"General Definition" screen select the "Number of idle screen programs"
and change the number from 2 to 3. Now go to the "Idle Screen Program
Definition" screen and select the blank box. Name it "PageMe Screen
Changer" and select the next box, enter the path to the .exe file as
"C:\WC30\PAGEME\PAGEME.EXE". Exit Makewild and start the board.
Test the Idle Screen application of the program, it should run without
a problem.
Using the Program -
It's fairly straight forward, just push the number of the screen you
want to change over to and the program will execute the copying of the
file, then print the DOS prompt "1 file(s) copied" to screen, pause for
3 seconds and reprint the menu. You then select #7 to exit. You can
change the format of the screens using a editor, but do not change the
filenames of the screens from the original.
Registration -
Registration will remove the delays at the beginning and the end of the
program. The registered version also returns you to the idle screen
after you select the working screen without having to hit another key
to exit. Basic Registration is $5 and the menu can be changed to
reflect any listing of menus other than those on the existing test
drive. See register.frm for details.

This program is offered as a "test drive" and can be used for 30 days
without registering. Registration is requested after the 30 day "test
